[ausev] does anyone have experience with A/C induction motors and Lithium battery packs?

The majority of the cost is the motor/controller kit: I think about $7500
(check electroauto.com for latest prices).

The next major cost is the battery pack.  This varies.  In my case, I have
a 5KWhr pack that cost around $2400.  The motor/transmisison adaptor is
next at around $1200.  Finally ancillaries like fuse and wiring.
I do not have a dc-dc converter; I just recharge the vehicles 12V battery
every use.
