Beyond graphs from the battery company... having a real State of
Charge meter that measures how much power comes out of the batteries
is the best answer.  That way you don't have to take your foot off of
the accelerator and wait 24 hours. That's why one spends money on an
electronic device to measure electrical usage and provide an answer.

They are coming down in price too.  I paid $400 for my Xantrex Link
10.  Now that they are being phased out, you can get them for $200.

(Also, since my DC-DC converter, and voltmeter are always connected, I
can never really get a true "open circuit voltage"... since a few
things are always connected to the pack.)
