There is also Regal Plastics in north Austin at Metric & Rundburg. You
can get a big 4x8 foot sheet of 5 mil coroplast for about $20.
Coroplast is great stuff. I use it extensively for cargo boxes on
bicycles and enclosures on the heavy e-trikes & bikes that I make.
5 mil coroplast would probably do just fine for a section under the
motor. It is easily cut to shape, but snip down the corners as they can
be sharp. I'd suggest using some E6000 glue (sand surfaces first)
backed up with black zip ties to secure it to the chassis. If you need
to remove it the E6000 gives easily to concerted yanking.
You could easily make a cowling for the top of the motor as well that
could snap securely into place. Let me know if you need ideas.
