I can not find any information online, but the piece of information
that you want to know most is "How heavy is the car?" or the curb
weight of the car.  I suspect that the car is well over 3000lbs.
While I won't say you can not convert it to electric... it does make
it more difficult and more expensive.

This is a factor since everything you are will need to buy... from
engine to controller to batteries will need to be bigger to
accommodate a heavier car.  Once you figure out the curb weight (by
finding it, or by just weighing the car), then you can start to
calculate what kind of performance and range you will get with various
types of engines and batteries.

I might also search through the AustinEV archives for previous
discussions on donor vehicles...
