LOL! As we used to say in the world of pistons "Cubic inches are no match for rectangular dollars." The more things change, the more they stay teh same.

Hi Thomas,
First question with any racing endeavor, what is your budget? That will dictate your path.

Hi eyerone! my name is thomas and i am a long time reader of EV articles and first time writer of one. i have a question that i need an answer to. i am about to graduate from college and im also about to get a new car that im going to convert into an EV. let me tell you what im looking for in an EV. i want a FAST EV, something that can do a 1/4 mile in a respectable time like a 10 second (or better) car and i do not know what kind of car i should go with. i was thinking a miata, infiniti G35, honda S2000 or an old mazda like a RX3 or R100. or a datsun 1200 like the white zombie. i was thinking about using a A/C system but i heard that a D/C system is cheaper and is better for the track. BUT A/C has regen braking and its less stressful on the transmission. SO MANY QUESTIONS haha
If anyone has any advice on what is a good way to build a 10sec EV that has a good distance on it and i wont have to recharge it after backing out of my drive way. than by all means tell me what kind of system a/c or d/c and what kinda car and any any other info you can give me would be great. thank you
