[ausev] Great Article in The LA Times on PHEVs

Hi--

Michael Hiltzik's front-page column in the Business section of  
today's Los Angeles Times ("Plug-in hybrids have miles to go for  
widespread use") is the most authoritative I've seen on the current  
situation regarding PHEVs -- plug-in hybrid-electric cars.  He  
considers a very broad collection of factors including some that are  
usually not noticed.

It's nice, though, to see the old faithful internal combustion engine  
relegated to the role of "range extender".
