Have any of you ever heard of the zinc chloride slush battery? It was presented as a new wonder battery for EV's back in the early 80's when I worked at Jet and all the reviews looked good but it quickly vanished. I'm guessing it was bought up and shelved by the oil mob.
  Has anyone ever tried do anything with the hydrogen produced when charging lead acid batteries? I've always wondered how much is actually produced. One of the venting fans on the Jet battery packs failed and ignited the hydrogen the had collected and it peeled the top off the Dodge Omni like a sardine can.
I think I have some pics from my old, pre digital archives and will post if I get the chance.
