The 40 amp lithium's might be too small for a 120 to 144 volt system.
Their rating of 120 amps cont is not a lot. My Geo exceeds that by a tiny
bit, resulting in a shorter battery life.
As for 'estimating' the range, If you have a 3000 lb car and a 120/144 volt
system, you might get a little under 3 amps per mile, maybe less.
That is a range of around 10 miles at 80% rated capacity
If your car is around 2000 lbs, you could get under 2 amps per mile, 20+/-
miles a charge.
The yellow tops are lead acid. They will be limited by (
Wikipedia:Peukert's Law).
Resulting in fewer miles per charge, by they can handle the amps of an EV
application without shortening their life.
With both of these, you would probably need 2 parallel strings 120/144 or a
high voltage (300v+/-) for range and/or longevity.
so. that is 20 to 24 to 26 of these batteries for an EV.
