  I also heard on NPR that there were devices at this year's CES using MCR to charge cell phones and such on a pad.

   

  Once they get its efficiency up, I can easily see a PHEV, EERV, or EV charged in the garage using a 1kW (or more) "charger" somewhere in the utility room.

  Then Lexus can go back to their old slogan "You don't even have to plug it in."
