To register and inspect your car you... register and inspect your car. I
was prepared for a lot of wrangling and phone calls to superiors and forms
submitted to agencies and lost, and it was none of that. I took my EV to
get inspected and there was no emissions to test, so the guy drove it around
the block and asked where he could buy an electric car. He really loved it,
he remembered me the next year I brought it back. After that I went to the
get the registration and I asked if I could change the title to say it's
electric, and I got a "we don't do that." Granted this info is a couple
years old now.
I'm since moved to Atlanta, and they have a rich and fulfilling bureaucratic
process to work through when you register a car as electric.
