My electric oven has a Shabbat mode too.  It's more common than you
would think... it's just not something that most people would look
for.   :-)

At least an electric car could be made Shabbat compliant, whereas a
combustion engine would pretty easily violate the prohibition on
"creating fire"...  Since you create new fire on each firing of a
spark plug.
