You might consider one of the aftermarket "coil over" conversion kits like they have here: http://www.westcoastfiero.com/suspension/shocks_and_springs.html
This not only gives you a choice of spring rates but adjustable height as well. That way you don't have to worry as much if your initial selection is not ideal. Once you have the adjustable sleeve on the strut, replacement springs in different height or spring rate are cheap at ~$35 each from a racing store like Day Motorsports.
