Well, I went searching for the series of pictures I'd seen of a TS cell 
having been cut apart to reveal the cells inside.  I haven't found it 
yet, but I did find this:

...which shows that not only are the LFPs like yours truly monolithic, 
but they're also based on a liquid electrolyte, which I have heard of 
but haven't actually seen before.  My apologies; I've been educated.

For what it's worth, the pictures that I saw may have been their cobalt 
(white box) cells.
