How are we going to dispose of all those gasoline engines?  The same
way... recycle them.   Metal is metal, and it's almost always
valuable... (unless it's radioactive... but no batteries are
radioactive, except RTGs)

All Batteries are recycleable... to varying degrees.   The city will
take them, but you can usually get more money directly from a scrap
metal dealer.
