I have an idea for a portable generator.  I have a gas scooter with a
chainsaw motor that the mounts are broken.  Could I connect that to an
automotive generator and make a poor mans portable generator?  I figure this
is basically the same thing they are doing with the hybrids but with a more
sophisticated small engine.  I want to build a small 'wal-mart' e-car I can
use for grocery runs and was thinking this would be a cheap generator I
could mount in it to extend my range.

Are there any good kit cars available in Austin.  I would like to build an
exotic looking 3 wheel one or maybe a modified dune buggy / go-cart.
