You could... I don't think you'll get as much power out of it as you
imagine though.

The cheapest thing to do would be to get a large 12V battery, a large
after market alternator (like the 200 amp alternators they sell to
people wanting huge sub-woofers in their trunks), and a like a 2000W
inverter to hook to the 12V battery.

I wouldn't be pretty... it wouldn't be enviromentally friendly... and
it's likely even dangerous...  but it'd do what you want.
