* What do you like most about EVs?

Qiuet & efficient

* I gather from my reading that a homemade EV will cost in the neighborhood
of: $2000-$5000 donor car, $5000-$10,000 parts, 500 hrs labor. Is this in
the ballpark?

your parts $ is not enought to include the batteries.

* Do you find it a problem to find places to charge your vehicle?

Mine is 110 volts, so I can charge it at any outlet.

* I have seen estimates of about $0.05/mile operating cost, including
periodic replacement batteries. Does this seem close to your experience?

For lead batteries, that is too low. For Nimh or Lithium, it may be ok.

* I see ranges of 40-80 miles. Does this seem reasonable in your experience?

For lead batteries, this would be top end, for Nimh or Lithium, it could
be low end, up to 200+ mi range for Lithium.

* Are repairs much of an issue?

Any replacement parts must be mail ordered, but there are very vew parts.

* How many miles have you put on an EV?
5000 a year for 3 years
