Without falling into a religious argument --

think of it as more like lean beef vs regular ground beef......

Sort of like if you are going to eat healthy -- better to have a plain salad
(no dressing) -- but realistically more folks would eat a hamburger and
would benefit from at least having the meat lean.....

There's a market for it -- and it does save 20-25% fuel consumption.

Sure purists won't love it -- but there are more hamburger eaters than
vegans....

Similarly -- if you are going to drive a SUV (and there are those that will
not give them up for many reasons -- some rational some not), might as
well "eat lean(er)".

GM had a booth at one of SA's green events and they were proudly showing
off their ultra-green hybrid Tahoe that smashed thru the 20 mpg ceiling
with a reported 21 mpg! Can you imagine bringing a monster SUV to sell
at a green event? Hybrid or not, it's like offering veal to a
vegetarian and saying it's just a small cow.

As you can tell it got to me and I had to post it on our chapter website
