I saw an article this weekend about a conversion that the Orange County
Choppers folks did - it was actually a hybrid conversion rather than
all-electric.

They put two huge banks of batteries in the 'saddlebags' and are hoping for
40 miles of all-electric range.

Googling returns many other related articles.

I didn't see it, but an episode of American Chopper was supposed to have
aired on January 14th detailing the build.
