I'm working at Kennedy Space Center, and am glad to see several all electric and NGV autos out here...
 
There are charging stations in front of every building, and Nissan was here last week, letting us drive the LEAF.
 
Cool car, with 100 mile range, IF you are not lead footed, and 60 mile range if you like to go fast, and run the airconditioner.
 
Has a 24 kwhr battery  back, and will charge complete in 4 hours, from ANY electrical source... 100 to 480 vac 
 
Fourdoor care that will seat 5 adults. Nice size trunk, with the batteries under the floor.
 
Very quiet, and nice/fun to drive. They setup a small course in the parking lot here, and we all got to take a turn ( everyone willing to stand in line )
 
cost is 30k and available this fall.
