Craig has one installed in his jeep and we installed one in Jon's MR2.
They are both still working with no problems. Craig has about 2 years
running his jeep and Jon's daily driver is almost one year old, both
using Trojan flooded batteries. They are not isolated,
semi-programmable, no temperature compensation and only 2KW but those
are the tradeoff's with cost. They seem to work well for a low-cost charger.
The more expensive chargers might be justified if you expect to use the
same charger for different battery types or voltages, need quick
charging, or need temperature compensation for sealed lead acid batteries.
