All personal feelings aside, Chris Robison's advice in this motor<br>
discussion is both logical and sound... and if you dismiss it you<br>
probably will find yourself with a lot of time and/or money invested in<br>

With that said, I feel that Chris is being really humble about his<br>
knowledge and experience with EVs... for example, he has been a primary<br>
player in quite a few EV conversions, and I know that without his help<br>
and advice (and Mark Farver and Aaron Choate's, and many others), my<br>
Jeep conversion probably would have failed or still be stuck somewhere<br>
in the process.<br>

I think that what this all comes down to is that there are many design<br>
considerations (such as motor selection) that arise during an EV<br>
conversion which are more complex than they first appear. People have<br>
the tendency to want to oversimplify things and/or jump to the first<br>
"solution" because it takes less time and effort (Yes, I'm also<br>
impatient =])<br>

But you should try to fully understand the issue at hand before making a<br>
decision, because the extra time spent learning about and understanding<br>
the issue now will save you a lot of time, money, and heartache when it<br>
comes time to DriveEV! I learned this the hard way! =]<br>
