(36V, 5hp motor, controller, contactor, charger, etc). Golf cart batteries

converting to an electric riding mower. But if you think a new mower is
too expensive, your expectations on conversion component costs are too
low. New mowers are probably cheaper ($800-$2000) than what it will take
you to convert (up to $2000 in parts plus man hours), however converting one
will still be cheaper than buying a new electric riding mower ($6000).</span><o:p></o:p></p>

throwing a rod and is too old to replace the engine cost effectively. I
really don't want to sink the money into a new mower. So I thought
converting this would be a good project. I did some web searches and was
surprised there was not more information on doing this. I figured an EV
group could point me in the right direction. If this isn't a good place
