I believe this may be of interest to this particular thread. I just
received a newsletter today from SAE announcing the release of the SAE
standard for charging plugs. It apparently is going to be adopted by
the major auto makers for plug-in electrics. I don't think I should
forward it onto the list since it is an HTML email, but if anyone is
interested in seeing it I will forward privately. Just contact me

things really start moving on the public charging station network front
and a government funding pipeline develops a set of standards will
emerge and I'm hoping they will require each station to have both 120
and 240 and a variety of plug options for each. There may, at some
point, emerge a standard charge station module that has all of the
outlet options all molded into one block.....either that or just have 2
copper terminals that you can clip some jumper cables to and dial up
the desired voltage....<br>
